Rites of passage mark life transitions and shape identity, belonging, and responsibility. What happens when these essential cultural practices are missing in modern society?
My second Vision Quest took me deeper into myself than I expected. What I thought would be about my professional path became a journey into anger, boundaries, and reclaiming my feminine power. Through four days of solitude, journaling, and reflection in nature, I confronted shadows, integrated my experience, and returned feeling whole — with new insight into life, leadership, and embodiment.
There are many reasons people go on Vision Quests. I share a personal story about my first one: 31 years, burnout, feeling like a failure, grieving my dad’s death. In the silence of the forest I came back home. I started laying down some of the weight I was carrying. I touched a deeper sense of belonging.
Lately I wrote about experimenting with lightness while creating a new offering – an Authentic Relating mini course. About a month later, I cancelled it. Sharing this experience feels vulnerable. Yet, Hiding is no longer an option. Urgency is something to track. Whenever I feel I must act NOW, I ask: What is really driving me? Am I still connected to the source of this idea, or is ego, fear, or an old wound leading the way?
A month has passed since the beautiful Vision Quest I guided in June in the Swiss Alps. For several weeks, I felt the urge to share about this moving experience – but something held me back. It was as if I hadn’t yet fully understood how my emotions connected to what might be emerging next. Now, a few dots are starting to connect, and I feel ready to share more of what’s unfolding.
What if creating could feel light, inspired, and rooted in trust? I’m experimenting with a new way of bringing work into the world—starting with a small Authentic Relating course in Berlin. In this blog post, I share the story behind it…
Motherhood transformed me in ways I never imagined. From the pain of childbirth to the overwhelming love for my newborn daughter, I discovered strength, resilience, and how being in service provides a sense of purpose. This journey through physical and emotional challenges taught me about sacrifice, self-love, and the power of community support. Join me as I reflect on how becoming a mother reshaped my life and offered profound insights into the joys and trials of parenting.
