The seminars, group and individual counselling that I offer do not replace medical or psychological therapy or treatment. They serve individual preventive health promotion and support personal growth processes.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I. Scope of application
The following General Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between participants at events (workshops and seminars) and Majka Baur, Weidenweg 75, DE – 10247 Berlin. In addition, special conditions may apply to individual offers, which are stated in the respective event announcement.
II. Registration
1. Registration is required for all events. Registration implies acceptance of the terms and conditions. Participants can register in writing, by e-mail or via the homepage based on the specification of the event.
2. Registration is binding regardless of the form. Participants will receive a confirmation of registration by email. Half of the seminar fee is due upon registration. Only with the receipt of the deposit does the participant secure his/her place in the seminar. The second half of the seminar fee is due four weeks before the seminar begins.
3. It is possible to reserve a place for a certain period without obligation.
III. participation fees
1. The participants undertake to pay the fees charged. The amount of the fees can be found in the respective announcements of the individual events. The fees do not include accommodation or meals.
2. The fees for events must be received in the organiser’s account at the latest 4 weeks before the start of the event (or the deposit in the case of agreed payment by instalments). In the event of late receipt of payment, the organiser may exclude participants from participation, especially if there are more registrations than places for an event. In the case of registration less than 4 weeks before the event, the fees are due and payable immediately.
IV. Cancellation of events/ deviations in implementation
1. The organisation of an event is subject to a minimum number of participants. If there are not enough registrations, an event may be cancelled. An event may also be cancelled by the organiser if the course leader is unavailable or in the event of force majeure, natural disasters or similar. Fees already paid will be refunded.
Any further claims for damages are excluded.
2. The organiser shall notify the participants if a seminar is full or at least 3 days before the start of the event if a course is cancelled due to lack of participation or illness of the course leaders.
V. Withdrawal
1. in case of withdrawal up to 4 weeks before the start of the course, the organiser will charge a handling fee of 30 €. In the event of a later withdrawal, participants are obliged to pay the full fee. This also applies in case of illness.
For Vision Quests, the cancellation deadline is 8 weeks before the start of the event. Here the processing fee is 100 €.
If the withdrawal is not made in time, the organiser has the discretion to release the participant from the obligation to pay the full fee if a substitute person is provided or if the organiser can win participants from the waiting list. This possibility does not exist for vision quests.
VI. Liability
1. the organiser is not liable for damages resulting from accidents, damages, loss or theft, unless the damage was caused by the organiser intentionally or by gross negligence.
VII. Declaration
By registering, the participant declares that he/she participates at his/her own risk and that he/she will not derive any claims for compensation against the organiser, other group leaders or other vicarious agents from any consequences, unless they have acted with intent or gross negligence. The participant hereby releases the organiser from any claims for compensation by third parties for damage caused by his/her own conduct, including any legal costs incurred as a result.
The participant acknowledges that participation is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment. If he/she is undergoing such treatment, he/she will discuss his/her participation with my doctor and/or therapist as well as with the seminar leader. German law applies. Legal action against the seminar organiser must be addressed to the location of the organiser’s registered office.
VIII. Data storage
Participants consent to the processing of their data as required for business purposes. The above is deemed to be notification in accordance with § 33 Para. 1 of the Federal Data Protection Act.
Participants agree that their contact details may be passed on to other participants of the event for the purpose of forming car pools.
Should a participant not agree to this, he/she shall inform the organiser accordingly.
IX. Subsidiary agreements
Additional agreements must be made in writing.
X. Severability Clause
Should individual provisions of these “General Terms and Conditions” be invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining clauses shall remain unaffected. The wholly or partially invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that comes as close as possible to the meaning and purpose of the provision.
